Spring Babies! Eventually, the sun is strong enough to melt the snow.

And the Rabbit jumped over the Moon

I think we could be Friends! or Fatal Attraction
Watercolor

Sometimes drawing something obnoxious is a way to make yourself feel less obnoxious. Or at least to contain the urge!

 A self explanatory cuckoo

Homeless science (just another warm sunny day outside the trailer)

This is how the babies sleep. Sometimes, if life gets stressful, these guys are able to keep things in perspective.

I almost forgot to post the airplane! I found this while looping past Fox, on the ridge that the Old Steese Hwy crosses over. Possibly the largest lawn ornament in Fairbanks. But I haven't seen everyone's yards yet.

April and still snowing * * *

I'm already looking ahead towards summer, with its prickly roses and mucky trails
Moon Walk at the Hay Field, watercolor
The hay field is the best place for night walks! Except when wind has obscured the trail ... then you might lose your way and get swallowed by the soft snow!

I also hope to catch and raise some Swallowtails this summer, hopefully I can get the right plants for them!

 Rose Bower, watercolor
Yes, I am very excited for summer.

Becca and I managed to find one day where it was balmy enough to dress up (Easter Sunday brunch!), and we fried up the rest of our rabbit, made a cake, and had good friends over!
