Murphy Dome and Fluffy things

Hiking on Murphy Dome in early August, there is plenty of fluffy cotton grass and blueberries galore (not that I need any more blueberries!) We hiked from the top of the dome to the Chatanika River, about 6 mi. one way, looking for grouse while we hiked.

On the drive home we found a peregrine falcon that had been hit and killed by a car. We salvaged the feathers from the falcon.
